I can’t say a particular music genre is my absolute favorite as my taste is subject to mood and liking for a specific time period. Also, give me fabulously written lyrics, and I will be head over heels for the song regardless of the beat and composition. These days there are a few tracks that are on repeat in my playlist-a few bollywood numbers and several Hollywood tracks. I am pretty sure I am going to keep listening to them until I get pukingly sick of them and in that case, I will never listen to them for a year. Till then, have a look at my recent favorite tracks.

Aye Zindagi Gale Laga le from Dear Zindagi

As much as I loved this movie, I equally love this song. Although “Aye Zindagi” is a rendition of the old Bollywood song from the movie Sadma, but I liked the new version better soulfully sung by Arijit Singh.

You and me from Befikre

I won’t say anything about this movie *you can watch better things” but this is an amusing song in terms of lyrics and music. I simply love cheesy songs!

Don’t Wanna Know by Boyce Avenue

I am an obsessive fan of Avenue now. They redo the original songs so amazingly well that I almost forget how the real track was like? Originally sung by Maroon, Boyce Avenue re-did “Don’t wanna know”in collaboration with Sarah Hyland (yes, the modern family Haley), and who could have imagined Sarah could sing this amazingly well. I so want this girl to launch her solo album.

Miguel – Crazy in Love

Only the trailer of this song is released and would you believe me if I say this version by Miguel gives me Goosebumps? It’s a beautifully dark and exciting composition done quite differently from the earlier Beyonce’s softer version.

Gilehriyaan from Dangal

A nerve soothing composition and beautiful lyrics! The acoustic guitars are the real heroes of this song which keep the melody easy to ears. You can also try it as a sweet lullaby to sleep. Yes!

The A team by Ed Sheeran

Yes, I know he has already come up with the new album but I am listening to the “A team” all over again these days. I was mad about this track a year ago and the same goes once again!
